We are a small home based operation. We enjoy raising our Manchesters, competing honestly with them and work very hard to improve the breed in conformation and the health of the breed. We do all health testing available for the breed. Puppies deemed as pets are sold on a very strict spay/neuter contract. We are deligent in keeping our bloodlines out of puppy mills and the backyard breeders.
Our puppies are born in the house, trained to the litter box while still nursing, later learn to use the doggy door equals a very well house trained puppy! Their training/molding starts very early in their life. The day they are born we start playing sound cd's. Environmental and show sounds. Then on day three we use the Bio Sensor/Super Dog Program which is early neurological stimulation exercises done from day three to sixteen of the puppies life. While they are still nursing we introduce the litter box to them and by the time they are weaned they are using it with no problem. By the time they are ready to go to their new home (8 - 10 wks old) they have been taught to use the doggy door. We also start crate training the puppies at about 6 wks of age. They will sleep thru the night in their crate and most of the time with no mess the next morning! A very prepared puppy for the new owner.
Not all puppies go to a new home at 8 to 10 wks old. We do not place puppies or dogs just because a person has money. We match puppies/dogs to perspective new owners. That makes for a lifetime placement and that is what we want for our babies. When you contact us about a placement we will ask for a "getting to know you" correspondence to be done with us. We do this for the betterment of our new puppy family and the puppy.
We welcome visitors anytime just call ahead and make sure we are home and not at a show or running errands. Some people have referred to our haven here in the country as a pet resort. We have an acre for them to run on, outside runs for exercise and all have a nice cozy bed in a crate for night time sleeping, complete with TV. Everyone rotates between sleeping in "doggy quarters" and sleeping inside with mom and dad. They learn that they can not be with humans 100% of the time, makes for better adjusted dogs to cope with changes that may occur in our lives. No separation anxiety, fussing or screaming in a crate, not eating or making a potty mess in the crate "just because".
Upon reviewing the new Texas Dog Kennel Laws we have determined that we are well below the maxium requirements. We will continue in the same dog friendly atomsphere we have always done.

GCH. Oakwoods Hollywood
Hollywood was the second standard bitch to get her Grand Champion title from AKC. She has multiple Group Placings and a Group Winning. I was given an very extraordanaire oportunity by Kimberle Schiff with Hollywood and I am more than grateful to her. Hollywood is a very special girl to me and a bright future in the making. After alot of work and training for both of us we now make a good team in the ring!!
